Reasi: TDD,Police today claimed to have arrested a person with stolen goods in Reasi.
Police said that a written complaint was received at the Police Station Reasi from Pankaj Sharma, som of Lt. Yog Raj, resident of village Bhaga Tehsil and District Reasi regarding theft of one Gold Ring, a pair of Silver Anklets and a silver Mangalsutra by some unknown persons.
Acting swiftly, the police registered a case under FIR No 173/2024 U/S 331(4)/305 (A) BNS at Police Station Reasi.
During the course of investigation, Investigating Officer of the case along with officials of P/S Reasi visited at the place of occurrence and there after searched the accused person.
During the course of investigation, a police team of Police Station Reasi after hectic efforts and with the help of technical analysis detained one suspect namely Navjhoot Singh, son of Rajinder Singh, resident of House No. 314 in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu who upon sustained questioning, confessed his involvement in the instant case.
Further on his disclosure recovered one Gold Ring, a pair of silver Anklets and a silver Mangalsutra and seized in instant case. Further investigations to unearth his linkages with other theft cases of district Reasi is going on.
The recovery and arrest was made by SHO Reasi under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Reasi
Gaurav Sikarwar-IPS, SSP Reasi while sharing the information of recovery expressed that Reasi Police is committed to protect property of citizens & further appealed to the public of Reasi District to make use of technology & install CCTV cameras in their premises for surveillance on these criminal elements in the society.
