11 Nomination Papers received on the sixth Day of nomination process in Kathua

`Assembly Elections-2024`

Kathua,TDD- On the sixth day of the nomination process, a total of 11 nomination papers were received at the office of concerned Returning Officers in Kathua district. 

The candidates who have filed their nominations today include Romesh Chander Verma from JK PDP, MS Kajal from Indian National Congress and Jatinder Singh, as Independent candidate for 63-Bani AC.

Satish Kumar Sharma, from Bharatiya Janata Party for 64-Billawar AC.

Amrish Jasrotia, as Independent candidate and Balbir Singh from INC from 66-Jasrota AC. 

Sandeep Majotra and Sunil Majotra both from Bahujan Samaj Party( BSP) for 67-Kathua(SC) AC.

Balbir Singh from Bahujan Samaj Party, Rakesh Kumar and Karan Singh both from Indian National Congress for 68-Hiranagar AC.

No nomination papers were received at the office of RO of 65-Basohli Assembly constituency. 

As per the official notification, candidates or their proposers have the opportunity to file nomination papers at their respective Returning Officer’s office between 11:00 AM to 03:00 PM until September 12, 2024. 

Nomination forms can be obtained from the office of the concerned Returning Officers. Scrutiny of the nomination papers is scheduled to take place on September 13, 2024. 

Candidates who have submitted their nomination papers will have the option to withdraw their candidature until September 17, 2024, by 03:00 PM. 

The polling day for all six assembly constituencies is set for October 01, 2024. Polling will be conducted from 07:00 AM to 06:00 PM.
