Washington/Tehran,DD: The President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump has announced that the ceasefire agreement has been reached between Israel and Iran following 12 days of war.
“Congratulations to everyone! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a complete and total ceasefire (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final mission!), for 12 hours, at which point the war will be considered, ended! Officially, Iran will start the cease fire and upon the 24th hour, an official end to the 12 day war will be saluted by the world,” he informed the world using social media.
Trump further stated that “During the ceasefire, the other side will remain peaceful and respectful. On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both countries, Israel and Iran, on having the stamina, courage and intelligence to end what should be called. “The 12 day war.” This is a war that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will! God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America and God bless the world.”
Meanwhile, a media report quoting a US official stated that under the ceasefire agreement announced by Trump, Iran’s ceasefire began at 12 am ET.
“Israel now has a 12 hours window, until 12 pm ET, to conduct any final strikes against Iran before its own ceasefire takes effect,” the media report quoted.
Twelve hours after Israel’s ceasefire beginnings the conflict will be officially considered over by both sides, the foreign media reports claim.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that there was no “agreement” on any ceasefire between Israel and Iran, an international media report claimed.
But he added that if Israel stopped its “illegal aggression” against the Iranian people no later than 4am (5:30am PKT) today, Iran had no intention of continuing its response afterwards.
“The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later,” Araghchi added in a post on X.
As the ceasefire is being made by the US, the media reported that an Iranian missile hit Israel, killing several people.
On the other side, Israel has also targeted Iranian areas, breaking the ceasefire and attempting to assassinate Iran’s supreme leader, as per the Iranian media report.
Last night, Iran launched missiles at Al-Udeid Air Base – US Central Command’s Air Operations in the Middle East, following airstrikes by the US on three nuclear missiles in Iran.
As the tensions are mounting, the Iran-Israel war has seemingly expanded to other countries, compelling the US to enforce a ceasefire although Iran and Israel continue to rain missiles at each other till the writing of this news. (AGENCIES)
