Security grid tightened across Jammu plain, Pir Panjal, Mughal Road

Jammu: DD, IGP Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti today said that “120 anti-terror operations are launched in Jammu on a daily basis to eliminate foreign terrorists.”
“These foreign terrorists operating in the remote / upper reaches have posed a challenge for the past two years,” said the IGP.
Claiming that they have become a significant challenge, the IGP said that the security grid has been tightened with continued counter-terrorism operations in the Jammu Division.
On the other hand, he said that the security agencies have strengthened the border protection grid and hoped that the foreign terrorists hiding in the upper reaches will be neutralized.
As a routine practice, he said that the security forces conduct around 120 anti-terror operations at various areas of Jammu Division.
Pertinently, the security forces have launched coordinated operations against the terrorists in the upper reaches of Udhampur’s Dudu-Basantgarh, Seoj Dhar, Bhaderwah, Doda, Kishtwar’s Marwah-Dachhan etc places.
Similar operation continues all along the Mughal Road, Pir Panjal that is connected to the Line of Control where the Indian Army has been working with police and border security force to keep check on the anti-national activities.
These operations have continued and the security situation remains under constant check.
At the same time, the Special Operation Group has been actively operating in Jammu, Samba, and Kathua Districts with the central agencies to nab the terrorist sympathisers, and check movement of the terrorists in all the areas along the International Border.DD
