Ramban :TDD,A two day capacity building program, organized under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative, successfully concluded in Subdivision Ramsoo today. The program aimed to empower stakeholders and promote gender equity through awareness, skill enhancement, and community participation was Chaired by SDM Ramsoo Ghanshyam Basotra and attended by all the Departments of Subdivision.
The event, spearheaded by the District Social Welfare Office Rahul Gupta under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary witnessed active participation from Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, teachers, local volunteers, and representatives from various government departments. The training sessions covered a wide range of topics, including gender sensitization, child rights, combating gender-based violence, and promoting girl child education and welfare.
Speaking at the closing ceremony to the media, the DSWO, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to achieve the objectives of BBBP. “This program is a step toward creating a society where every girl has access to equal opportunities, education, and a safe environment. The active participation and dedication of stakeholders have been remarkable and will surely bring positive outcomes in the community.”
The program included interactive sessions, group discussions, and practical exercises designed to equip participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to address gender-related challenges at the grassroots level. Expert speakers from various fields shared their insights and best practices, encouraging attendees to become change agents in their respective communities.
Participants lauded the initiative, highlighting its relevance and the need for similar programs to build a progressive and inclusive society.
The program, supported by the local administration and coordinated by field officers, reflects the district’s commitment to ensuring the success of the BBBP initiative and fostering gender equity across Ramban.TDD
