Budgam, (TDD): Three more BSF soldiers have succumbed taking the total death toll to four, while as one soldier is still critical, official sources said.
They said 28 injured BSF personnel have been referred to SKIMS hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment. A bus ferrying 36 BSF personnel skidded off the road in Brell village of Waterhail in Budgam district late this afternoon and fell into a gorge. A BSF solider died on the spot while the condition of three others was critical, who later succumbed at SDH Budgam. The condition of one injured BSF jawan is stated as critical.
Official sources told TDD that the condition of one BSF soldier is critical while 28 others have been shifted to SKIMS, Soura for specialised treatment. Remaining ones were treated first at SDH hospital Budgam.
Soon after the incident, locals and the teams from the Budgam administration and police rushed to the spot and pulled the injured BSF men from the bus. An official statement from the SDRF said that it launched a joint rescue operation Waterhail village and so far four bodies have been retrieved and 36 others rescued(TDD)
