4 Terrorists Believed Trapped in Ongoing Udhampur Encounter: IGP Jammu

Jammu, (DD): Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen, on Thursday said that four terrorists are believed to be trapped in an encounter underway in the Udhampur district.

Addressing the media, the IGP stated that contact with the terrorists was established around 8:30 AM in the Bihali area of Basantgarh. “Operations are currently affected due to adverse weather conditions, but as per our assessment, a group of four terrorists is holed up in the area,” he said.

The encounter began after security forces, acting on specific intelligence inputs, launched a cordon and search operation. The situation remains tense, and efforts are ongoing to neutralize the threat.
