Jammu,(DD): A cricket tournament organized in the name of renowned para-archer Sheetal Devi has brought together communities across Jammu and Kashmir in Kishtwar district fostering not only sportsmanship but also promoting national unity and collaboration.

The event saw participation from 24 teams, showcasing the immense passion and dedication of the area’s youth toward sports.
The presence of champion Pakeeza Jan as the chief guest elevated the significance of the event. Addressing the players and spectators, she stressed on the critical need for improved sports infrastructure, urging the district administration to establish cricket stadiums and practice nets to nurture emerging talent. “Sports have the power to unite and empower our youth. Better facilities will enable them to compete on bigger platforms and make our region proud,” she remarked.
The tournament owes its success to the tireless efforts of organizers Engineer Anil Kumar Shan and Tausif Ahmed Wani, who have worked diligently to provide a platform for local youth. Their dedication to promoting a sports culture in the region was widely appreciated by participants and attendees alike.
