Kathua,DD, Kathua Campus (JU) successfully organized an online expert lecture today, aimed at enlightening students about the fundamentals and importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). The session featured Ms. Isha Sharma, an accomplished expert in the field, who shared her extensive knowledge and experience with the participants. The session covered the process of securing intellectual property and the critical role it plays in encouraging research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
During the lecture, Ms. Isha Sharma provided a detailed overview of Intellectual Property Rights, explaining their role in safeguarding innovation and creativity in today’s competitive world. She highlighted key aspects of IPR, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and industrial designs, emphasizing their significance for students pursuing careers in diverse fields. Ms. Sharma further used practical examples to illustrate how IPR fosters economic growth and protects individual and organizational contributions to various industries.
Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Rector, Kathua Campus (JU), lauded the initiative and emphasized the importance of understanding IPR in the current era of innovation-driven development. He encouraged students to actively engage in such sessions, leveraging them as an opportunity to expand their knowledge and gain practical insights into the evolving landscape of intellectual property.
