Jammu: DD,The Olistaan Cafe at Amphalla Wednesday organised Mamani Ethnic Food Festival.
The festival was organised to promote and introduce Mamani Ethnic Food in Jammu among the Ladakhi as well as local population.

On this occasion, MLA Kulgam and CPI (M) senior leader, Mohammed Yousaf Tarigami, and prominent political figure from Ladakh, Sajjad Kargali were also present as Chief Guest, and Special Guest respectively.
“It was a great privilege to attend the Mamani Ethnic Food Festival as a special guest in Jammu today,” stated Sajjad, while lauding the organisers effort to popularise the ethnic food among the people in Jammu and young population of Ladakh.
Earlier, All Ladakh Students’ Welfare Association, Jammu (AJSWAJ) also organised Mamani at Ladakh De Cafe in which Councillor Drass Abdul Samad was chief guest.
The Mamani Festival, or the Ethnic Food Festival, is one of the most cherished and awaited celebrations in Kargil, Ladakh.
It showcases the rich culinary heritage of the region, where people prepare and share traditional delicacies such as Thukpa, Popot Grain Soup, Hrtsrap Khur Yeast Bread, Markhur, Azoq Skin, Kabchey, Puri Poli, Pancakes of Buckwheat, Curd Suggoo, Kash or Pachae, and many more.
The festival is a vibrant reminder of Ladakh’s unique cultural identity, bringing communities together to celebrate their roots through food, tradition, and togetherness.DD
