Kishtwar,(DD): Three government officials, including the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Kishtwar, an Assistant Director from the Fisheries Department, and a Naib Tehsildar from Machail, have reportedly suffered heart attacks while in the district.
In response to the medical emergencies, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan took swift action, overseeing the airlifting of the three officers from the hilly region to Government Medical College (GMC) in Jammu for further treatment.
As of now, the health of the officials is said to be stable, according to a senior official from the Kishtwar district. However, further medical details and the specific causes of the heart attacks are still awaited.
This sudden health crisis among the officials has raised concerns about the mental and physical stress faced by government employees in such remote areas, particularly those serving in high-pressure roles. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely, with more updates expected once the individuals receive medical care in Jammu.(DD)
