Jammu, DD, AIIMS Jammu has now expanded its orthopedic services to include total knee replacement surgeries, further enhancing the range of advanced treatments available at the institute. The procedure was successfully performed under the expertise of Dr. Raashid Anjum and his team, treating a patient with bilateral osteoarthritis of the knees through bilateral total knee replacement. The anesthesia team, led by Dr. Shruti, provided vital support throughout the surgery, ensuring a smooth and safe procedure for the patient, who is now recovering well with improved mobility.
The Director of AIIMS Jammu acknowledged the pivotal role played by the Department of Orthopedics in advancing the institute’s healthcare services. He commended the department for its ongoing efforts to expand and innovate, particularly in its diverse range of specialized surgeries.
