Leh,DD: In a thrilling finale at the Khelo India Winter Games (KIWGs) 2025, Ladakh’s ice short track team clinched the gold medal in the Mix Relay event. This marks Ladakh’s third gold and fifth overall medal (3 gold, 2 silver) at the event,highlighting the region’s growing prominence in winter sports.
The Mix Relay event, one of the most exciting and competitive races, saw the Ladakh team defeat top contenders, including the defending champions from Maharashtra and Telangana.
Ladakh has participated in three events thus far – 1000m Long Track, 1000m Short Track, and Mix Team Relay, missing out on the 500m events due to new regulations, which could have further enhanced their medal tally.
Chairman/CEC LAHDC, Leh, Adv.
