Poonch,DD,In a Significant action against drug menace,a police party from Police Station Mendhar while conducting naka checking near the Jaaba bridge, stopped and frisked an individual, during the personal search 10 grams of heroin (Chitta)-like substance was recovered from his possession.
The individual identified himself as Waseem Ahmad S/O Mohd Maqsood R/O Gohlad, tehsil Mendhar who is arrested on spot.
A case under FIR No. 11/2025 has been registered under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station Mendhar. The investigation is underway to ascertain both the backward and forward linkages.
