MCMC review meeting held at DC Office Samba

SAMBA, TDD: A meeting of the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) was convened today under the chairmanship of District Election Officer (DEO) Samba, Rajesh Sharma, at DC office here.
The meeting was attended by members of MCMC, including ADDC Champa Thakur, ACD Mahmood Riaz, MCMC Member Secretary Pranav Manhas, Social Media Expert Satish.
The session commenced with a comprehensive briefing by Pranav Manhas, Member Secretary of MCMC, outlined the committee’s activities to date. The briefing focused on the monitoring of paid news and media coverage to ensure fairness and adherence to the guidelines established by the Election Commission of India.
DEO Rajesh Sharma took a detailed assessment of the preparations and the committee’s timely reporting to the Chief Election Officer. He emphasized the importance of maintaining impartiality in media coverage and keeping a close eye on election expenditure in line with the Commission’s directives.
The meeting concluded with a call to ensure robust mechanisms for transparent monitoring and reporting as the election process moves forward.TDD
