The confiscated heroin has an estimated street value of several crores, highlighting the scale of the drug trafficking operation disrupted by the police. A case FIR No. 212/2024 under sections 8, 21, and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal.

The Udhampur Police are actively investigating the case, aiming to expose the entire narcotics network, including both suppliers and distributors. They are urging the public to come forward and share any information related to drug trafficking activities.

This successful operation exemplifies the unwavering commitment of the Udhampur District Police to dismantling drug trafficking networks and safeguarding the community from the perils of narcotics. By seizing this large quantity of heroin and apprehending the smugglers, the police have dealt a significant blow to the illegal drug trade in the region. TDD
