Srinagar, (DD)Security forces in South Kashmir declared a high alert today after detecting suspicious objects in two separate locations—Kashwa Chitragam in Shopian’s Zainapora subdivision and Pinglish Nagwadi in Tral, Pulwama district.
In Shopian, a suspicious object was spotted, prompting authorities to immediately cordon off the area and summon the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) for investigation and safe disposal.
Meanwhile, in Tral, another suspicious item, suspected to be an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), was found, triggering a swift security response. The area was secured, and the BDS was deployed to neutralize the potential threat.
These back-to-back security alerts highlight the persistent challenges faced by law enforcement in Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any unusual activity to ensure public safety.(DD)
