Khaltse, DD: The Block Medical Officer (BMO) Khaltse, Dr. Shamim Ahmad, organized a Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) camp, Yesterday on February 19, 2025 at Achinathang village, providing essential healthcare services to the local population.
The camp offered a wide range of medical services, including Gynecological consultations, Dental care, AFHC, STS, NCD Screening, Laboratory tests, Cervical Cancer Screening and Breast Cancer Screening. A total of 73 patients benefited from the initiative, including: 38 Gynae OPD patients, 20 General OPD patients, 09 Dental OPD patients, 06 AFHC patients and NCD Screening were also done for the said patients.
Additionally, 28 Cervical Cancer Screening, 38 Breast Cancer Screening were performed and 132 Laboratory tests were conducted during the said camp.
Dr. Padma Ladol, Gynecologist; Dr. Deachen Dolker, Dental Surgeon; Tsering Diskit, AFHC Councillor; Tashi Toldan NCD Councillor; Sonam Thinlas and Diskit Dolma, Laboratory Assistant and Anayat Ali, Senior Treatment Supervisior (STS) were present during the camp.
The primary focus of the camp was the screening and early detection of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, diabetes, malnutrition, and anemia.
This initiative underscores the commitment of BMO Khaltse to enhancing healthcare accessibility in remote areas and raising awareness about preventive health measures among the local community.DD
