Clarify stand on statehood, Karra asks BJP

Kathua: DD, Asking BJP to clarify it’s stand over the delay in the restoration of statehood, despite repeated commitments by the Prime Minister and home minister, JKPCC Chief Tariq Hameed Karra today questioned centre what’ are it’s parameters of ” Proper time ” for the restoration of statehood.

Questioning BJP & it’s elected representatives for its criminal silence over the most vital right of the people, Karra said that this amounts to betrayal of the mandate of people, forcing Congress party to launch this movement which shall be intensified in the days to come and people shall come on roads if further delayed.

Addressing a massive gathering of DCC at Kathua today Shri Karra said it is our right & we shall fight to get it back .He regretted that we have to struggle for achieving our legitimate right, identity, status and honour.
Hitting hard BJP for disbanding, dividing and downgrading the historical Dogra state, he lauded the struggle of the Dogra rulers and Dogra people for expanding the geographical boundaries of their state into a vast territory, having a distinct identity, culture and secular values, religious brotherhood.

Taking strong exception to the delay in the finalising the business rules, he said there is confusion in the administration over the defining and distribution of powers. Non restoration of statehood is coming in the way of solving various issues of different sections of people who had taken part in the elections in hope of solution of their pending issues.

Working Presidents Tara Chand, Raman Bhalla, Ex MP Ch Lal Singh, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, former Ministers Dr Manohar Lal, Yash Pal Kundal, Ved Mahajan, Rajnish Sharma, district President Pankaj Dogra, Shashi Sharma, Ex MLA Kanta Andotra, Durga Dass Vijay Sharma, Sanjeev Panda Prof H R Sharma, Kajal Rajput, Rakesh Chaudhary, Rajinder Singh Babbi also spoke.

JKPCC Chief condemned the unfortunate incidents of mysterious killing of two persons in Billawar besides the death of Makhan din and demanded a judicial enquiry to bring out the truth. He also deputed a team of Senior leaders led by Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, besides District President Pankaj Dogra and others to visit the area and report to the party about the details of incidents.DD
