Israel delays scheduled release of Palestinian detainees

Resents hostage release ceremonies of Hamas, demands guarantees that future hostage releases will take place without “humiliating ceremonies

Washington DC,DD: Israel has delayed the scheduled release of hundreds of Palestinian detainees from their custody “until further notice”.
After the release of six Israeli prisoners by Hamas from Gaza City, it was expected that Israel would also set free prisoners from their custody as a part of a peace deal between Hamas and Israel.
The media reports quoting the Palestinian Prisoners Society said: “The release was delayed until further notice.”
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Israel’s office has also confirmed the delay in release of the Palestinian detainees.
