Kathua, DD, In a major crackdown on illegal mining activities, the Jammu & Kashmir Police in District Kathua have seized five tractors along with trolleys involved in illegal extraction of minerals. The operation was carried out within the jurisdiction of Police Station Billawar.
Acting on specific inputs, the police team swiftly launched an operation and intercepted the vehicles engaged in unauthorized mining. The seized tractors have been taken into custody, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the offenders.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to curbing illegal mining, which poses a significant threat to the environment and local resources. They have urged the public to report any such activities and warned that strict action will be taken against violators.
