Driving Trial in Kishtwar Postponed Due to Weather Advisory

Kishtwar, DD: The Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Kishtwar has announced the postponement of the scheduled Driving Trial on February 27, 2025, due to adverse weather conditions. The decision comes in light of an alert weather warning issued by the Government of India, forecasting heavy rainfall and snowfall in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir, including Kishtwar district.

According to the notice issued by ARTO Kishtwar, Tasleem Javaid (JKAS), the rescheduled dates for the Driving Trial are March 5 and March 6, 2025. The department has urged the public to take note of the changes and cooperate in ensuring safety and avoiding any inconvenience.

The postponement decision aligns with the advisory from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Integrated Control Room for Emergency Response) and the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Indian Meteorological Department, Srinagar. Authorities have emphasized the importance of public safety amid the expected inclement weather.
