Leh: DD, GDC Khaltse Organizes Speech Competition on ‘One
Government Degree College Khaltse organized a speech competition among its students on the theme ‘One Nation One Election’ today on 25 February 2025. The event is a part of the ‘Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament and Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect, a transformative initiative aimed at engaging young minds in national discussions and policy deliberations while fostering leadership and civic participation.’The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament will be conducted in three structured stages-District, State and National Level-from mid-February to mid-March 2025.
The program kicked off with Dr Tsering Norphel, Assistant Professor Sociology highlighting the significance of ‘Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament’ and also briefed the judges about the paramaters to judge the speech competition. Assistant Professor Ms Konchok Chhorol Department of Political Science and Assistant Professor Stanzin Stamdin, Department of English were the judges for the program. A total numbers of 08 students from different semesters have participated in it and Sonam Yangdol of 4th and Padma Angmo of 6th semesters were selected for district level competition which would be held in the first week of March.DD
