Jammu,(DD): The Legislative Assembly session witnessed a significant disruption today as Sheikh Khursheed Ahmad, the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing Langate, staged a protest during Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha’s address.
The protest centered on the recent deaths in Baramulla and Kathua, with the MLA demanding justice for the affected families.
As the LG commenced his speech, MLA Khursheed Ahmad rose from his seat, holding placards that called for accountability and justice regarding the incidents in Baramulla and Kathua that occurred last month. He vocally sought immediate attention to these matters, emphasizing the need for transparent investigations and support for the victims’ families.
The unexpected protest led to a brief disruption of the proceedings. Assembly marshals intervened promptly, escorting the protesting MLA out of the central hall to restore order.
