Jammu, (DD): The Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, BJP’s Sunil Sharma, has strongly criticized the recently presented budget, calling it a complete failure in addressing the real concerns of the people. Sharma accused the government of neglecting pressing public issues and labeled the budget as disappointing.
“The people of J&K had high expectations from this budget session, hoping for solutions to their problems. Unfortunately, the government has failed them,” Sharma said, rating the budget a “zero out of ten.”
In his sharp critique, Sharma also took aim at the ruling National Conference (NC), alleging that its leadership was more focused on discussing Pakistan rather than addressing local governance challenges. He claimed that such tactics, aimed at appeasing certain voter bases, had been rejected by the people of Kashmir.
The BJP leader further criticized Sajjad Lone, chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference, calling him a “product of separatism” who, despite multiple opportunities, had not fully embraced the mainstream political landscape. He also targeted the PDP leadership, particularly Mehbooba Mufti and Waheed Parra, alleging that they were uncomfortable with the peaceful conduct of events like the Amarnath Yatra.(DD)
