Kishtwar, DD, District Police Kishtwar observed “Thana Divas” at Police Station Kishtwar, reinforcing its commitment to community engagement and effective policing. The event was chaired by SSP Kishtwar, Shri Javaid Iqbal Mir-JKPS, accompanied by Dy.SP Hqrs Dr. Ishan Gupta and SHO PS Kishtwar Insp. Firdous Ahmed.
The program witnessed active participation from civil society members, shopkeeper associations, and other prominent individuals from the concerned areas. Various public grievances and issues were discussed during the meeting, and SSP Kishtwar gave a patient hearing to all concerns. He assured that police-related matters would be addressed on a priority basis, while issues requiring civil administration intervention would be promptly forwarded for resolution, with timely feedback provided to the participants.
In his address, SSP Kishtwar welcomed the participants and urged them to extend their cooperation to the police and administration in maintaining law and order. He emphasized the importance of public assistance in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements, including drug peddlers, to ensure a safer society. Furthermore, participants were sensitized about the increasing trend of cybercrime and the deceptive methods employed by cybercriminals.
Additionally, SSP Kishtwar shared important insights on the three newly introduced criminal laws—highlighting their significance in strengthening the justice system and ensuring more effective law enforcement. He emphasized how these laws would help in speeding up investigations, ensuring fair trials, and enhancing the overall security framework. The public was encouraged to be aware of these legal changes and cooperate with law enforcement in their effective implementation.
