Jammu, DD: The Grand Inauguration of the Anti Drug Veterans Circket Tournament 2025 T-20 League Cricket Tournament organized by the Ludhiana Brothers in collaboration with Team Jammu.
The tournament was inaugurated by DIG JKS Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma (IPS) alongwith Zorawar Singh Jamwal (Chairman Team Jammu).
During his address, DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma (IPS) said drugs abuse is a serious threat to the society and had to be completely eradicated. Preventive steps should be taken to ensure that no one uses drugs. He said that police has been several legal steps to prevent drug abuse.
He said that poice has been actively fighting to eradicate this menace. The police are taking strict action against those involved in spreading drug Mafia among our youth, but we need the support of locals to fght this together as a society.
He appealed to parents to counsel their childern against drugs.
He also added that we want to see our youngsters shine on national and international plateforms and acheive global success.
Speaking on the occasion, Zorawar Singh stated, “Drug addiction is a growing menace that destroys lives and the very fabric of society. A life rooted in devotion and spirituality not only keeps us away from harmful influences but also provides the inner strength and clarity needed to face life’s challenges.
Zorawar Singh lashed out at Pakistan for pumping in drugs through drug mafia with sinister designs to exploit our youth.
Zorawar also added that Police undoubtedly doing a great job by seizing contrabands of drugs worth multi-crore being smuggled outside the state but the sad affair is that the big fishes, who are running the trade are still at large and succeeding in their nefarious designs.
Eariler, the cheif orgnizer Randeep Manhas (Proprietor) Ludhiana Brothers) presented welcome address and assured the gathering that Ludhiana brothers will continue such sports activites across Jammu and motivated youth to “Say No to Drugs” and “Yes to Suports”.
The two match for today was played between Janta Sports Circket Club and Jandyal Group 11 Cricket Club wherein Jandyal Group won by 9 Wickets (89/1) and Atul was the man of the match, Batting first Janta Sports Club amassed 88/6 runs in stipulated 20 over.
The second match was played between Elight 11 Circket Club and Jammu Enterprises Circket club. Elight 11 Club amassed 119/8 in 20 overs and Jammu Enterprises won the match by 8 wickets (123/2).DD
