Kishtwar, DD : The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Kishtwar, in collaboration with the Department of Hindi, organized a special program to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social justice. The event was held under the esteemed leadership of Prof. Basharat Iqbal, Principal, GDC Kishtwar,and the able guidance of **NSS Program Officer Prof. Esarul Ayub**. The program commenced with a warm **welcome address by Prof. Vijay Kumar, who highlighted the significance of Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions to India’s constitutional and social framework. Students and faculty paid floral tributes to the great leader, followed by insightful speeches, poems, and essays that underscored Dr. Ambedkar’s relentless struggle for equality, justice, and empowerment of marginalized communities. In his presidential address, Principal Prof. Basharat Iqbal lauded Dr. Ambedkar’s visionary leadership and enduring legacy”Dr. Ambedkar was not just a constitutional architect but a beacon of hope for millions. His ideals of social justice, education, and empowerment remain deeply relevant in today’s society,”* he remarked. Principal Iqbal encouraged students to draw inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar’s life and work towards building an inclusive and progressive nation. The event was attended by **many esteemed faculty members**, including who actively participated in the discussions.
