Sadhotra intensifies door-to-door campaign; urges people to end BJP’s dark era

Jammu,TDD, Former Minister and Additional General Secretary Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, the National Conference (NC) candidate from the Jammu North Assembly seat, conducted an extensive door-to-door campaign in the Muthi, Roopnagar, and Janipur areas, covering Ward No. 34, 35, 36, and 37. Sadhotra, who is contesting as the joint candidate of the NC-Congress alliance under the INDIA bloc, engaged with residents to seek support and shared the key points of his party’s manifesto.

During his interactions, Sadhotra urged the people to exercise the power of their vote to put an end to misrule unleashed by BJP during the last one decade. He elaborated on his party’s commitment to restore statehood for Jammu and Kashmir, reaffirming that the NC-Congress alliance is determined to “bring back our lost identity.”

He highlighted various public welfare initiatives, including the promise to provide 200 units of free electricity, remove smart meters, and ensure free drinking water in both towns and villages, assuring voters that no new water taxes will be imposed.

He also focused on the removal of toll tax barriers within a 10-kilometer radius from the city, along with a review of illegal toll plazas and improvements in public transportation. His pitch to voters included an emphasis on tackling unemployment, with promises to create Employment Guarantee Schemes for local youth and establish Special Employment Zones in Jammu and Kashmir.

The candidate emphasized a pro-business stance, promising land reforms and support for small businesses and startups, with plans to introduce  new industries under the new industrial policy.

Addressing the health sector, Sadhotra assured that the expansion and upgrade of existing health institutions would be a priority, along with making Jammu a drug-free society through youth employment and anti-narcotics programs.

On the educational front, he promised to open new degree colleges in remote areas and improve the quality of both government and private schools, with a focus on skill development for the youth.

Lastly, he pledged medical reforms, road infrastructure development, and targeted support for marginalized sections, including tribals, backward classes, and economically weaker sections (EWS).The campaign saw enthusiastic participation from locals, as Sadhotra urged the public to vote for the NC-Congress alliance to ensure a brighter future for Jammu and Kashmir.
