Parliamentary Panel on Home Affairs to Tour J&K from April 26, Govt Deploys 15 Liaison Officers

Srinagar, (DD): A high-level Parliamentary Standing Committee from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is set to embark on a six-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir from April 26 to May 1, 2025. To facilitate the visit, the Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed 25 liaison officers across both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.

According to official sources, the officers—drawn from various departments—have been tasked with coordinating and assisting the committee during its engagements across the Union Territory.

An official order issued by the government states that these officers will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth logistical and administrative arrangements throughout the delegation’s visit.

In the Jammu Division, key officers appointed include Abhishake Abrol (Additional Secretary, School Education), Harpal Singh, Rachna Sharma (Information Technology), Sheetal Pandita (Rural Development), and Manisha (School Education Directorate).

For Kashmir Division, the list features Owais Mushtaq (Health & Medical Education), Nuzhat Khurshid (Tourism), Ata-ul Munim Tak, Shabnam Rashid (State Taxes), Raeis Ahmad Bhat, Shurjeel Ali Naiku, Mir Zahida (IMPA&RD), Najwan Nazki (FCS&CA), Suhail ul Islam (SMC Secretary), Sartaj Hussain (Estates), Mantasha Binti Rashid (Rural Sanitation), Ajaz Ahmad Shah, Bashir Ahmad Lone (GM DIC Kulgam), Nasir Mehmood Khan (Tourism), and Syed Nadeem Iqbal Andrabi (Industries & Commerce).

The officers have been directed to report to the respective Divisional Commissioners in Jammu and Kashmir on April 23, 2025, for a detailed briefing on their roles and responsibilities.(DD)
