Hiranagar, DD, Sh. Phulail Singh, JKAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Hiranagar, conducted a whirlwind visit to the border area of Paharpur in Tehsil Hiranagar today. During his visit, the SDM reviewed the ongoing girdawari operations and interacted with local farmers, addressing their concerns and issues related to land acquisition and developmental projects.
The SDM also engaged with the local population, listening to their grievances and demands. The people of the area requested the construction of a pulley over Bhag Nallah between villages Chak Shama and Mehrajpur, which the SDM assured would be taken up with the concerned authorities.
During his visit, the SDM also interacted with students of schools located in the border area, emphasizing the importance of education and encouraging them to pursue their studies with dedication. He also met with officers of the Border Security Force (BSF) at the Border Post Paharpur, discussing matters of mutual interest and cooperation.
The SDM’s visit aimed to assess the ground realities, address public grievances, and ensure that developmental projects are implemented effectively in the border area. The visit reflects the administration’s commitment to the welfare and development of the people living in border areas.
