Srinagar,(DD): Eminent Islamic scholar and revered preacher, Maulana Mubarak Mubarki, president of Bazm-e-Tawheed and Khateeb of Bazar Masjid, passed away today, leaving behind a rich legacy of spiritual guidance, humility and community service.
Widely respected for his wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment to Islamic teachings, Maulana Mubarki inspired generations through his sermons and religious engagement across Kashmir.
According to family members, his funeral will take place in two parts: the first at 2:30 PM at his residence in Sanat Nagar, followed by the main congregational prayers at 4:00 PM at Bohri Kadal Chowk, near Bazar Masjid.
Mirwaiz Dr Umar Farooq is expected to lead the funeral prayers. He expressed deep sorrow over Maulana Mubarki’s demise, calling it a personal loss.
“A few weeks ago, I visited him to inquire about his health. Despite his physical weakness, he welcomed me with warmth and clarity. His passing is a great loss for the people of Kashmir,” Mirwaiz said.(DD)
