MAJ GENERAL ANUPINDER BEVLI, VSM ADG NCC DTE JK&L VISITS 1 LADAKH BN NCC, LEH

Leh: DD, Major General Anupinder Bevli, VSM ADG NCC Dte JK&L came on visit to 1 Ladakh Bn NCC, Leh.
The General Officer interacted with Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla UYSM, SC, SM, VSM GoC-in-C 14 Corps and Major General Ravinder Kumar, SM GOC Leh Sub Area to thwart issue related to NCC.
He thanked both the general officers for their timely and whole hearted support for NCC related activities within UT, Ladakh.
On visit to 1 Ladakh Bn NCC, Leh located at Skara, the General Officer was given befitting guard of honor by an immaculate and impressive turned-out guard by NCC cadets. Then he interacted with posted Permeant Instructor Staff (Army), Civil Staff employees (UT Ladakh) and Cadets.
Thereafter, Colonel HS Dhanoa, Commanding Officer 1 Ladakh Bn NCC, Leh briefed the ADG NCC Dte JK&L in detail about the Battalion functioning and achievements for the past Training Year 2024-25. The major issues covered were such as E-Enrolment, DBT/ ETEDA, Refreshment Allowance, Award of various Scholarships, Conduct of Camps (ATCs/CATCs, SNIC, Army Attachment Camp, TSC and RDC), Camp Audits, Battalion participation into various Social Services Community Development (SSCD) activities and other Achievements.
The ADG was highly impressed by the Battalion drills, dedicated & motivated staff of NCC Team, Leh. He specially congratulated the Commanding Officer efforts for increasing the footprints of NCC to entire boarder region of UT Ladakh spanning to 554KM stretch in such an in-hospital terrain bounded by heavy snowfall and cutoff from entire country from November to March.
He applauded and congratulated for the conduct of Vibrant Village Programme and spreading awareness about various Government Schemes among villagers at remote areas through SSCD activities working in close coordination with UT YS&S and other departments.
Later on, the General Officer visited Eliezer Joldan Memorial Government College, Leh. After welcome speech by cadets the General officer during his address shared his views with the cadets.
The general officer motivated the young cadets to keep evolving themselves by building their Character, Spoken Skills and Personality Development by participating into various NCC Centrally Organised Camps and SSCD activities.
He told cadets to learn through peer groups, explore diverse and rich culture of our country and become a Responsible Citizen and force multiplier into Nation Building.
He also urged cadets to become members of NCC Alumni Association and informed them about new NCC Bn raising and expansion and authorization of cadets to travel by AC-III Tier and DBT/ ETEDA facilities being granted by government.
The general officer then felicitated Second Officer Gridhari Lal for being adjusted Best Associate NCC Officer (ANO) and CSM Tsering Dolkar for being adjusted Best Cadet for the Training Year 2024-25 and Junior Under Officer Stanzin Yangzom for being conferred with DG NCC Commendation Card on scaling Mount Kang Yatse-II (6250Mtrs) during the Training Year 2024-25.
The general officer also visited to oversee the ongoing work and monitor the progress of the new Bn KLP, NCC Academy at Phayang. Later on, he paid his homage at Pathar Sahib Gurudawra ahead of Nanak Hill Complex.
Maj General Anupinder Bevli, VSM ADG NCC Dte JK&L was highly impressed & lauded Colonel HS Dhanoa and NCC Team, Leh for taking keen interest and efforts for motivating NCC cadets to join Armed Forces, Para Military Forces, Ladakh Police and making them responsible citizens of India by grooming future leaders.
He expressed his satisfaction and confidence within NCC Team Leh and UT Ladakh Administration for showcasing wonderful bonhomie and working ethos and congratulated both depicting excellent Military – Civil confluence.DD
