Many from Mankote migrate to safer areas; artillery fire in Bhimber Gali in Poonch-RajouriÂ

POONCH: DD, Atleast seven civilians have lost their lives, and 38 others sustained multiple injuries in the heavy artillery shelling from across the Line of Control by the Pakistan Army in Poonch civilian areas,”The enemy has opened heavy fire, and targeted areas close to Poonch City as well. The shelling has claimed the innocent lives of seven civilians and left 38 others injured,” the reports claim.The injured were evacuated to the hospital whereas the people are shifting to safer locations. There is panic among the people as the cross LoC shelling continues, the locals stated. Similarly, many families from Mankote have left their respective homes and shifted to the community center. The artillery fire has intensified across the border, and bombs are pounding in civilian colonies, the locals claim. The situation is also alarming on the Line of Control in Rajouri with continuous heavy firing from the Pakistan Army.  “Pakistan again violates the ceasefire agreement by firing artillery in Bhimber Gali in Poonch and Rajouri. The Indian Army is responding appropriately in a calibrated manner,” the Indian Army statement issued early morning, informed.DD
