Baramulla, (DD):Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi visited the forward locations of the Indian Army’s Dagger Division in Jammu and Kashmir today where he commended the troops for their courage and vigilance during the recently concluded Operation Sindoor.
In a post shared by ADGPI on X, General Dwivedi was seen interacting with soldiers and lauding their role in asserting operational dominance along the Line of Control (LoC). “He praised their valour, high morale (josh), and decisive actions during the operation,” read the statement.
The COAS also emphasized the importance of maintaining operational readiness. “Troops must remain ever prepared to respond to emerging threats with decisive force,” he remarked.
Earlier, on May 14, General Dwivedi, alongside Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, and Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, participated in a high-level review of Operation Sindoor, offering strategic insights into the operation’s execution and inter-service coordination. According to a statement from the Integrated Defence Staff, the military leadership highlighted the synergy among the Army, Navy, and Air Force that contributed to the operation’s success.(DD)
