LG Sinha Chairs Unified Command Meet to Review Amarnath Yatra Security, Overall Situation

Srinagar, (DD): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today chaired a high-level Unified Command meeting in Srinagar to review the security arrangements for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra and assess the overall security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary, senior Army officials, police officers, and top representatives from paramilitary forces.

Discussions focused on ensuring a secure environment for the Amarnath Yatra, scheduled to commence on July 3. The meeting also assessed the implications of the recent Pahalgam terror attack and the developments following ‘Operation Sindoor’.

During the session, the Lieutenant Governor directed the security agencies to intensify efforts to completely dismantle the terror ecosystem in the region, emphasizing proactive coordination among all forces to maintain peace and security(DD)
