Leh,DD, Chairman/CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, LAHDC Leh in the presence of His Eminence Thiksey Rinpoche and DC/CEO, Santosh Sukhadeve visited Jive-Tsal to review ongoing preparations for the upcoming visit of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to Ladakh, scheduled for July.
Also Present were Thupstan Chhewang, former MP Ladakh, Tsering Dorjey Lakrook, President LBA, Ven. Tsering Angdus President LGA, along with Chief Planning Officer, Leh; Superintending Engineer, PWD Circle, Leh; Executive Engineer, Construction Division, Leh; President Youth Wing and other delegations.
A detailed discussion was held on-site between His Eminence Thiksey Rinpoche, CEC, DC/CEO Leh, and all attending officials. They reviewed the current progress of works, discussed timelines for completion, and stressed the importance of seamless coordination between departments.His Eminence offered key guidance to ensure a smooth and respectful welcome for His Holiness.
As part of the visit, the dignitaries inaugurated the newly constructed boundary wall around the Photang,a project funded by the Hill Council.The team also inspected the newly completed guest rooms at the site, which are intended to accommodate officials during the visit.
The visit reflects the strong collaborative effort between LAHDC, the district administration, and religious bodies in ensuring a dignified and well-prepared welcome for His Holiness the Dalai Lama.DD
