3 J&K Government Employees Sacked Over Terror Links

Srinagar, (DD)The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday dismissed three government employees for their alleged involvement with Pakistan-based terror groups Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Hizb-ul-Mujahidin (HM). All three individuals are currently in jail.

Dismissed Employees:

  1. Malik Ishfaq Naseer – Police Constable
  2. Ajaz Ahmed – Teacher in the School Education Department
  3. Waseem Ahmad Khan – Junior Assistant in Government Medical College, Srinagar

Officials stated that these individuals were actively working for terrorist outfits and aiding attacks on civilians and security forces.

Malik Ishfaq Naseer:

Joined the J&K Police in 2007.

His brother, Malik Asif Naseer, was a Pakistan-trained LeT terrorist killed in 2018.

Continued involvement with LeT while serving as a police constable.

His activities were exposed in 2021 during a probe into arms and explosives smuggling in the Jammu region.

Used GPS coordinates to facilitate cross-border arms and narcotics drops.

Played a key role in identifying drop locations, coordinating with handlers in Pakistan, and distributing arms to terrorists in J&K.

Authorities described his betrayal as a severe blow to the integrity of the police department and national security.

Ajaz Ahmed:

Appointed as a government teacher in 2011.

Became a trusted associate of HM in the Poonch region.

Helped smuggle arms, ammunition, and narcotics.

Was arrested in November 2023 during a routine police check.

Arms, ammunition, and HM propaganda materials were found in his Toyota Fortuner.

Investigation revealed he was acting on instructions from Abid Ramzan Sheikh, an HM terrorist based in Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK).

Had been supplying terror outfits in Kashmir for years.

Officials said these actions posed a significant threat to national security and warranted immediate dismissal under constitutional provisions(DD)
