Awareness Program on Drug Abuse and Preventive Measures held at GHSS Silmoo and GHS Lalung

District Drug Addiction Centre (DDAC) Kargil, in collaboration with IKMT, JUIAK, and the Department of Education Kargil, organized an important awareness program on drug abuse

Kargil: DD,The District Drug Addiction Centre (DDAC) Kargil, in collaboration with IKMT, JUIAK, and the Department of Education Kargil, organized an important awareness program on drug abuse and its prevention at Government Higher Secondary School Silmoo and Govt High School Lalung, Kargil.

The Principal of GHSS Silmoo and GHS Lalung, welcomed the resource persons and participants with a warm speech.

They also spoke about the serious issue of drug abuse and emphasized everyone’s social responsibility to raise awareness and protect the society from this harmful practice.

Manager, DDAC Kargil then delivered an introductory address, highlighting the rising concerns of drug abuse in the Kargil district.

He also informed the audience about the free treatment and support available at the DDAC Centre for those struggling with addiction, encouraging people to seek help and stay away from harmful substances.

Syed Raza Razvi, from JUIAK gave an impactful talk to the students, focusing on the causes and dangers of drug abuse.

He urged everyone to be aware of their responsibilities and work together to stop the spread of this issue in our communities.

Shiekh Bashir Shakiri, representing IKMT Kargil, shared his thoughts on the importance of discipline and strong moral values.
He explained how drug abuse threatens the wellbeing of society and called upon the students to uphold positive values in their lives.

The program ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Principal GHSS Silmoo and GHS Lalung.
They expressed deep gratitude to DDAC, IKMT, JUIAK, and the Department of Education for their efforts in guiding the younger generation towards a healthier and more responsible future.DD
