Kishtwar, DD, J&K Neha Badyal, daughter of Raj Kumar Badyal and Smt. Dheeraj Badyal, and wife of Dr. Sarthi Arjun Shan, a proud resident of Kishtwar, has been conferred the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) by the University of Jammu.
Her research was on the title: “Water quality assessment of some springs in Kishtwar and its health implications”, focusing on the evaluation and analysis of vital freshwater resources in the region under the supervision of Dr. Arti sharma.The study highlights the ecological importance of local springs, their role in the community’s livelihood, and proposes strategies for sustainable conservation and water management.
Dr. Neha Badyal’s work is being widely appreciated for its relevance to environmental conservation and public health, and it is expected to contribute meaningfully to regional and national efforts aimed at water resource preservation.
