Srinagar, (DD)In a continued crackdown on terrorism and its ecosystem, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday attached the property of a Pakistan-based terrorist in Kupwara district.
The property belongs to Ab Hamid Lone, son of Ab Aziz Lone, a resident of Mawar Bala Qalamabad in Handwara. Lone, an absconding terrorist, is wanted in a case registered under FIR No. 02/2023 at Police Station CIK/SIA Kashmir for his involvement in various offences under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and Section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The attached immovable property includes land under Khasra No. 110-min (02 Kanal 03 Marlas) and Khasra No. 115-min (01 Kanal 16 Marlas). The action was carried out following due legal procedures and with authorization from the NIA Court Kulgam.
According to police, the attachment was executed in the presence of an Executive Magistrate, ensuring full legal compliance.
“This action marks a significant step in the ongoing investigation into terror-linked activities and reinforces SIA’s resolve to dismantle support systems aiding terrorism in J&K,” a police spokesperson said.
The SIA reaffirmed its commitment to taking strong action against individuals and networks involved in anti-national activities, aiming to safeguard the region’s peace, security, and sovereignty.(DD)
