Joint Briefing by DC Udhampur & SSP Udhampur for Magistrates, Police Officers, and CAPF Officers Ahead of Upcoming Assembly Elections – 2024

Udhampur :TDD,In preparation for the upcoming Assembly elections- 2024, District Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai-IAS and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP Udhampur) Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS conducted a significant joint briefing session today with Magistrates, police officers, and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel. The meeting aimed to ensure a comprehensive understanding of roles and responsibilities as well as effective coordination among all forces involved in the election process and to ensure smooth free and fair election in the district.

DC Udhampur emphasized the importance of preparedness at all levels to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful election process. Each officer was reminded of their responsibilities in maintaining public order and facilitating a smooth electoral process.

SSP Udhampur outlined strategies to manage law and order during the elections, including measures to prevent any disturbances and ensure quick response mechanisms are in place. Officers were also briefed on the protocols for reporting and responding to any irregularities that may arise.

DC and SSP encouraged open communication and collaboration among Magistrates, police, and CAPF officers to ensure seamless operational execution on the ground.

The joint briefing concluded with a reaffirmation of the commitment to ensuring a peaceful election process.TDD
