Amarnath Yatra symbolizes J&K’s glorious pluralistic legacy: Sadhotra

Jammu, DD, National Conference Additional General Secretary andFormer Minister, Mr. Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, today described the
upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra as a shining embodiment of the richpluralistic and syncretic heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, expressing
hope that this year’s pilgrimage will usher in an era of peace,tranquility, and fulfillment of aspirations for the people.
In a statement issued ahead of the commencement of the revered annual pilgrimage to the Holy Cave Shrine in the Himalayas of Kashmir from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp here tomorrow, Mr. Sadhotra said, “From times immemorial, the Amarnath Yatra has served as a spiritual beacon for millions of devotees from across the nation and
beyond, offering divine bliss and inner serenity.”
Underscoring the unique cultural and spiritual confluence that defines the Yatra, Mr. Sadhotra said the extraordinary feature of the pilgrimage a sacred journey undertaken by one religious community
and wholeheartedly facilitated by another.
“This rare and heartening expression of communal harmony is what truly makes Jammu and Kashmir a cradle of composite culture and mutual respect,” he said.
He said that the local population, irrespective of caste, creed, region or religion, eagerly awaits the arrival of pilgrims with open arms, reflecting the timeless traditions of hospitality, brotherhood, and
coexistence that are hallmarks of the region’s identity.


“The people of Jammu and Kashmir have always stood as proud hosts to the devotees, embodying the spirit of harmony that binds our diverse social fabric,” he said.Exuding confidence in the successful conduct of the Yatra, Mr. Sadhotra said, “I firmly believe that the pilgrims will return to their
homes not only spiritually rejuvenated but also as ambassadors of peace, carrying with them the message of communal unity and the warmth of Kashmiri hospitality.”
He also lauded the efforts of the administration, Shri Amarnthji Shrine Board, security agencies, and volunteers from civil society for their
tireless work in ensuring smooth arrangements, safety, and logistical support for the Yatra.
Mr Sadhotra made a fervent appeal for peace and mutual understanding, saying, “Let this sacred Yatra be a pathway to renewed hope, healing, and harmony for Jammu and Kashmir and for the entire
