COAS Upendra Dwivedi on 4-day official visit to Bhutan

Tashichhodzong (Bhutan):DD, Chief of Army Staff General, Upendra Dwivedi is on a four-day official visit to Bhutan aimed at nation-building and youth empowerment.
“The COAS visited the Gyalsung Academy at Jamtsholing, Bhutan, where he was briefed on the visionary initiative of His Majesty the Fifth King of Bhutan aimed at nation-building and youth empowerment,” reads a statement issued by the spokesperson.


The COAS lauded the Academy’s commendable efforts in shaping the future of Bhutan’s youth and appreciated the impressive infrastructure.
He noted with admiration the thoughtfully designed plans for the upcoming infrastructure, which will bring to life His Majesty’s grand vision.
Reaffirming the deep-rooted friendship between India and Bhutan, the COAS stated that the Indian Army remains firmly committed to supporting these transformative initiatives. (ADG PI-Indian Army)DD
