Srinagar, (DD): Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, today said the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) is playing a pivotal role in enhancing the incomes of over 13 lakh farmer families across Kashmir.
Addressing the 6th Convocation of SKUAST-Kashmir (Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-K), LG Sinha praised the university’s contribution to the successful implementation of the HADP in the region.
“SKUAST-K has made significant contributions in ensuring the success of HADP in Kashmir,” he said, adding that the programme has become a national role model in the agricultural sector.
Sinha also highlighted that Jammu and Kashmir has emerged as one of the leading agricultural regions in India. “In the last couple of years, our farmers have secured the 5th rank nationally in agriculture and allied sector performance,” he stated(DD)
