“We are exploring every possibility,” says SHO as search operation intensifies

Ramban, (DD)Parvaiz Ahmad Wani, an Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) with the Jal Shakti Department (PHE), Sub-Division Gool, has been reported missing since Friday morning. His vehicle was discovered unattended along the Ramban–Maitra road near the Julla Bridge, close to the banks of the Chenab River, triggering widespread concern over his safety.
Local sources and police suspect that Wani may have accidentally fallen into the river, although no concrete evidence has yet been found to support this.
A coordinated search operation involving the local police, Quick Response Team (QRT) Ramban, and volunteers from the area has been launched and is ongoing despite the Chenab’s high water levels.Station House Officer (SHO) Ramban, Vikram Parihar, said the engineer’s car was spotted between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m. near the lower Maitra junction.
“We are taking every possibility into account and continuing the search operation along the bank of the mighty Chenab,” he stated.Wani, a resident of Maitra in Ramban and originally hailing from Alinbas in Tehsil Pogal Paristan, was serving as AEE for both the Gool and Ramsoo sub-divisions of the Jal Shakti Department.
The news of his disappearance has sent shockwaves through his native village, where residents have gathered in prayer, hoping for his safe return.
