SSP KISHTWAR HOLDS CRIME REVIEW MEETING OF SUB-DIVISION KISHTWAR

Kishtwar:DD, Continuing the proactive policing efforts ahead of the upcoming religious festivities and Yatras, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Naresh Singh, today chaired a crime and security review meeting at the Conference Hall of DPO Kishtwar.
He was accompanied by Additional SP Kishtwar Sh. Pardeep Singh Goria-JKPS.

This meeting comes as a continuation of earlier strategic reviews and aimed at taking stock of the implementation of previous directives, reassessing the current security landscape, and ensuring readiness for upcoming events.
The meeting was attended by Dy. SP Hqrs Dr. Ishan Gupta-JKPS, SHO PS Kishtwar Insp. Firdous Ahmed, IC PPs, Investigating Officers (IOs), and other concerned officers.

During the meeting, SSP Kishtwar took detailed feedback on:
Compliance with Previous Instructions: Assessment of action taken on the directions issued during the last crime review meeting.
Recent Crime Trends and Investigations: Review of fresh cases and status updates on pending investigations.
Readiness for Yatra and Festive Season: Special focus was laid on deployment planning, route security, crowd management, and coordination with civil administration.
Beat System and Surveillance Measures: Officers were directed to ensure regular beat patrolling and maintain updated beat books with accurate ground-level data.
Anti-Drug & Anti-Bovine Smuggling Efforts: Updates were taken on enforcement drives, with clear instructions to intensify actions against drug peddlers and cattle smugglers.
Counter-Terror Strategy: Officers were briefed to stay alert, maintain inter-agency coordination, and conduct area domination, patrolling, and CASO operations in identified vulnerable areas.

SSP Kishtwar stressed the importance of field presence of officers, enhanced community engagement, and strict adherence to law-and-order protocols to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the district.

He reiterated that officers must remain extra vigilant, particularly in sensitive areas, and generate real-time, actionable intelligence to thwart any potential threat posed by anti-national or disruptive elements.

The meeting concluded with renewed commitment by all officers to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of religious Yatras and upcoming festivals, while upholding the safety and confidence of the general public.DD
