Lt Gen P K Mishra Reviews Security Readiness in Forward Areas of Jammu Region

Rajouri, (DD)In a major push to strengthen operational preparedness along the Line of Control (LoC), Lieutenant General P K Mishra, AVSM, YSM, SM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the prestigious White Knight Corps, conducted a high-level visit to multiple forward brigades across the Jammu region.

Accompanied by the General Officers Commanding of the Ace of Spades and Crossed Swords Divisions, Lt Gen Mishra undertook a comprehensive review of the prevailing security situation and assessed the effectiveness of current operational modalities in key forward locations. The visit comes amid evolving security dynamics and a renewed focus on maintaining absolute dominance in operational areas.

During detailed briefings, the Corps Commander was apprised of the existing threat perceptions, counter-infiltration measures, and force deployment strategies. Special emphasis was laid on enhancing the troops’ ability to respond swiftly and decisively to any contingency.

Interacting with soldiers on ground, Lt Gen Mishra lauded the unwavering commitment, high morale, and combat readiness displayed by the troops operating under challenging conditions. He urged all ranks to continue maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and preparedness in the face of emerging challenges.

“The operational effectiveness of our forces hinges on their discipline, adaptability, and unflinching resolve. Our continued dominance across the region is a testament to the bravery and sacrifice of each soldier,” the GOC asserted during one of his troop interactions.

The visit underlined the Army’s resolve to remain vigilant and responsive along the LoC, ensuring peace and stability in the region while keeping hostile threats in check.

The White Knight Corps, headquartered in Nagrota, plays a crucial role in the security framework of the Jammu division, guarding a significant stretch of the LoC and supporting counter-terror operations in hinterland areas(DD)
