Leh, DD, Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv Tashi Gyalson hold a follow-up meeting on the establishment of the High Altitude National Centre for Excellence (HANCE) in Leh in his chamber today.
The meeting was attended by Executive Director, SAI Rc Chandigarh Manjushree Dayanand; OSD to Sports Secretary, Dr. Stanzin Thakchos; and Incharge SAI STC Kargil, Ghulam Mustafa.
Dayanand apprised the CEC that the proposal for HANCE, as discussed in the earlier meeting, has been shared with operation division SAI Head Office New Delhi.
The meeting also included discussions on the operational cost required for the functioning of the centre.
Both proposals, one for the establishment of the High Altitude National Centre for Excellence (HANCE) and the other concerning the Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KISCE), were agreed upon during the meeting, marking a positive step forward in strengthening the sports infrastructure in the region.DD
