CIK Raids 10 Locations Across Kashmir in Terror Recruitment Probe

Searches linked to Jaish sleeper cell handled by cross-border commander Abdullah Ghazi

Srinagar, (DD): The Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday launched coordinated raids at ten locations across four districts in the Valley as part of an ongoing investigation into a terror recruitment and sleeper cell case.

An official said the searches are being carried out in connection with a terror-crime case involving a recruitment module allegedly operated by Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Abdullah Ghazi from across the Line of Control.

According to sources, one location in Pulwama, six in Ganderbal, one in Srinagar, and two in Budgam are currently under search operation. These locations are suspected to be linked to individuals involved in providing logistical support or facilitating recruitment for the militant outfit.

The raids are part of intensified efforts by security agencies to dismantle terror networks and prevent fresh recruitment by Pakistan-based outfits targeting Kashmiri youth.

Further details regarding the nature of recoveries or detentions, if any, are awaited(DD)
